Octaviano Larrazola was born in Mexico, 1859. He moved to the USA as a boy and lived there for the rest of his childhood. He went to Saint Michael's College and Santa Fe University of Art and Design for his education.
On December 11, 1884, Octaviano became a US citizen. On the same day, he also registered into the Texas state branch of the Republican party. He was elected district attorney in 1890 and reelected 2 yrs later. A couple years later, he moved to Los Angeles and started practicing Democratic law. Unfortunatly, he was not popular as most people where he worked were Rebuplicans.
Larrazolo tried to represent all Hispanic voters and demolish all laws or acts that was unfair to them. He continued to do this for most of his life but eventually ended up becoming a Republican himself. He died at age 70 in 1930.
